The High River annual Show N Shine, renamed the Brian Chipchase Sr. Memorial last year, is back again this year on Sunday, Sept. 24. As it's essentially the last big car show of the season the annual event attracts thousands of visitors to the town throughout the weekend benefitting local businesses and showcasing the town. On August 19, 2023, The High River Autoplex was having its annual Coffee, Cars & RV's show and shine. Every year, the Autoplex welcomes auto enthusiasts from the High River region to display their rides. The event's volunteers were friendly, attendees radiated kindness, and the food provided a delightful end to a full day of car shows.

Last year's show was another massive event because this show takes over the whole town.. Part of it is staged in George Lane Park-one of the nicest venues in Alberta.. The car show has at times had more than 1,200 vehicles registered. Once again this year the Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society is helping to organize the event. "This year I am chairing the car show so I've got my hands in sort of every pot and trying to help out where ever I can, make sure everything's running smooth and just helping where ever I'm needed," said Tracy Cuffe of FFAS.

Yes, the River City Classics Car Club have confirmed that their 19th show will go on in the downtown core of High River on September 26. No word on the night before burn-out contest. The club recognizes the show has gotten too big for comfort and they will be making changes for a smaller show. Sounds like it will be limited to 1000 cars.
